The End Times Harvest is here. This article gives some recent pictures of this Harvest and what God is saying today so that we might open our eyes to what He is doing.
John said in the first century that “we are in the last hour” (1 Jn 2:18). So today we are surely in the last minute of the last hour. We are living in special times when God is on the move, but the Church largely seems to be looking elsewhere and not concerned about an End Times Harvest!
What is God’s perspective on our cities?
In 2015 I came to a city that had experienced God moving before, but now is experiencing ‘normal’ church life and in general just maintaining things. I asked God to give me His perspective of what was going on in the city.
God gave me a picture of a huge tree with low branches and spreading over a wide area. What was remarkable was that the branches were laden with fruit everywhere and since the branches were low, it was very easy for someone to pick the fruit. However, even more remarkable was the fact that only a few people were picking the fruit. Most remained unharvested.
I understood that the city was still full of opportunities but outside the Church and the people of God were largely not seeing it that way and so virtually no-one was going out to ‘pick the fruit’.
I believe that this picture applies to many other cities too. It’s important to seek God for His perspective on our city and see through His eyes and then act accordingly. He is on the move, but often in ways we don’t at first perceive. Then we need to share this with other believers.
What is God’s perspective on the End Times Harvest ?
Recently I was praying with a friend about the harvest and God showed me what the harvest looked like. I was full of joy and tears at what I saw:
- It was massive. I saw like a wheat harvest ready to be reaped except the crop I didn’t recognise. It was as far as the eye could see without end. It was a huge inheritance waiting to be harvested.
- The crop was thin, tall and many times higher than a person. It towered over us. It was impressive, a rich crop to harvest.
- The crop was packed close together so that every space was covered. It was impossible to miss or bypass. It blocked your way. You either watched it from the side lines or got engaged in reaping. There was no middle ground.
- The crop was very beautiful, multi-coloured and shone in the sunlight. It was stunning. Who would want to invest time in doing anything else or in the things of the world?
Jesus Himself said that “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few” (Mt 9:38). We need to open our eyes to the End Times Harvest. The exciting thing is that the harvest is so massive it needs us all and we can gain a great inheritance for His great glory.
I am not alone in these pictures of the End Times Harvest, for example this article on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
The main principle of gaining your inheritance in the End Times Harvest
It’s like a huge lottery that is free to enter and where everyone wins a part of the prize money but it depends on us entering the lottery in the first place. Most seem to be looking to invest their time elsewhere! However, for those that enter this spiritual lottery they can win as much as they have faith for! The amount of inheritance we gain is dependent just on faith!
The parable of the sower says that when the soil is good, there is a great harvest and we can reap 30, 60 or 100-fold (Mk 4:20). How much is dependent on our faith. What would happen if we decided that we want to be want to be big reapers and sought Jesus for this? What would happen if we asked Jesus to reveal the harvest close to us? Let’s reap this great End Times Harvest with great faith.
